THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER AT GOODWOOD ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Goodwood 3.00 Nagano (10/11)
Progressive sort who has won 3 of his last 4 including a fiercely competitive handicap at this track last month, running on strongly from off the pace; up in trip again which could see him improve further so obvious chance.
This looks all about NAGANO here as he bids to make it 4 from his last 5. He picked up really well from off the pace to score here over a mile and a half last month and while this is tougher now into Group company he does set the standard and with more to come is hard to oppose despite the likely short odds. He will be ridden quietly by David Egan and hopefully he travels into it strongly and just picks them off in the closing stages. Dancing King was denied just a short head at Chester last time. That was a Listed race so this is tougher but he is likeable so shouldn’t be entirely ruled out. Classic Lord might emerge as the surprise danger. His form stacks up and I think he might finish second.

Windsor 5.25 Twilight Madness (11/8)
Likeable colt who clocked a career best on return at Newmarket last month, really running away from them in the closing stages; strong travelling sort who could be point and shoot here; four-timer looks on the cards.
This looks a decent opportunity for TWILIGHT MADNESS to make it four in a row! This colt by Twilight Son is clearly thriving right now and he produced a career best on the figures staying on strongly to win readily at Newmarket last time. He looks progressive and it’s hard to see him beat here with this stiff finish likely to be ideal. Yimou is obviously a decent yardstick so he has to be respected but I’m struggling to see him beating the favourite. Royal Musketeer won at Ripon in June but has been held since and needs to do more on what we’ve seen lately despite faring best of those ridden prominently at Newcastle. The rest all have something or other to prove and are hard to recommend.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Goodwood and Windsor on Saturday as we look to bounce back!
