DOUBLE LANDED STATESIDE OVERNIGHT! The NAP is now chasing a hat-trick on Monday night. Plenty to get stuck into and I’m looking forward to seeing Halo Hunter at Indiana.

THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK!

Race 6 Indiana Grand 10.00 Halo Hunter (13/8)

Smart type who made it 3 wins from his last 4 lengthening away impressively at Arlington last month; steps up to a mile for the first time now but with potential for a soft lead could take a lot of pegging back; big chance.

The US NAP won again overnight as Medina Spirit won the Shared Belief Stakes for Bob Baffert showing a good turn of foot before holding on well at the finish. I know it’s nowhere near the same level but a similar story could play out for HALO HUNTER at Indiana tonight. This horse is at the top of his game right now with 4 wins from his last 6 and 3 from his last 4. He steps up to a mile for the first time so has stamina to prove but I can see him stringing these out on the front end before hopefully holding on well at the finish. He has gears and could leave them standing before always just doing enough. There isn’t any obvious pace on so he will go forward and look the string them out.

Race 6 Delaware Park 8.45 Olliemyboy (2/1)

Promising colt who improved to win impressively at Fair Grounds back in January and followed up swooping from off the pace at the same venue next time; not beaten far in a Grade 2 on final start; more to come now and this easier.

The US NB also won last night and Choose Joy won at Gulfstream. We head to Delaware Park tonight as we bid to follow up and the likeable OLLIEMYBOY can make a winning return. He landed back-to-back wins at Fair Grounds in the winter and while he was only sixth on final start that was a Grade 2 and he is better than that. Given time since and reappearing at an easier level he looks to have a big chance of regaining the winning groove and making it 3 wins from his last 4. He likes to come from off the pace and with the potential for Bay Harbour, Tappin Cat and Saratoga Jack all to go forward it could set up perfectly for him. With luck in-running he should be finishing best of all.
