THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT SWAN HILL ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 9 Swan Hill 8.00 Taramansour (10/11)

Promising type who made it back-to-back wins finishing strongly to win at Pakenham last month; this race has cut up now and it looks a good chance for him to transfer that form to turf; worth keeping safe for now.

This looks between the top two in the betting and TARAMANSOUR is readily preferred. He has won his last two on a synthetic surface and has been well punted on both occasions. He didn’t let supporters down last time and now this race has cut up (main protagonists out) it looks a great opportunity for him to make the breakthrough on turf. He is clearly on the upgrade and I think he’ll get the better of Marchons Ensemble. The latter has to be respected as he rain on well to chase home Bainbridge last time and that’s good form. The pair look a cut above the rest with Prince Ziggy best of them. He is exposed but has 10 wins to his name (from 61 starts) so should run well again.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT NOWRA ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Nowra 7.40 Diamond Hands (6/4)

Good looking sort who ran on strongly from off the pace to make a winning debut at Bathurst in April; given time since but likely to have matured and with further improvement to come he should prove hard to beat.

With the rail draw it’s hard to look past the unbeaten DIAMOND HANDS here. He did it nicely on debut and has trialled twice since so should be fit enough to take this out. Miss Barty’s Party won on penultimate start but failed to back that up last time so has a bit of work to do to peg back this favourite. She is still a live contender if bouncing back. Okay Okay has ran well the last twice and also has to be considered but at the same time I’d be a bit disappointed if she was to take this out. Charm Offensive has been around the block with just 2 wins from 33 starts. Likely to run well but needs more against these improvers. The rest just don’t look good enough to land a blow.
