THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT YARMOUTH ON TUESDAY EVENING!
Yarmouth 5.00 Kodi Gold (7/4)
Took a big step forward to make a winning start for this yard brushing aside 14 rivals over 6f here last month; 6lb rise looks perfectly fair and if he gets a good pace to aim at dropping back to 5f shouldn’t prove an issue; obvious chance.
Both Dark Side Prince and Swell Song could take each other on early here and if they do that would be an ideal scenario for KODI GOLD who was seen to good effect from off the pace winning over 6f here last month. That was a big improvement on his past form so he looks to have turned a corner now. He is up 6lb but if he’s in the same form he should go in again. Dark Side Prince is probably the danger but if he gets softened up on the speed he should be vulnerable late. Enchanted Night is unexposed after just a handful of starts but looks held by the selection on that last run. She might improve to chase him home here. Snow Berry probably best of the rest as wasn’t ideally placed last time.

Wolverhampton 7.50 Nomasee (3/1)
Promising colt who shaped with definite ability when fifth on debut at Newcastle in a race that has worked out well since; given time since and sure to have improved so looks to have found a good opportunity to make the breakthrough.
Given what those horses that finished in front of NOMASEE at Newcastle in May have gone on to achieve it looks a very solid piece of form and if he has improved following a short break he is going to take a lot of beating here. The second favourite at the time of writing Pure Charmer also ran at Kempton last night so is unlikely to take up this engagement. That would see Nomasee an even shorter price for this so the 3/1 looks generous. If Pure Charmer does come out then Astral Beat is probably the danger as he is gradually getting the hang of things. Slade Power filly Hayat showed some ability first-up and also might take a step forward to get competitive but she certainly needs to.
