THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT PHILADELPHIA ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Philadelphia 9.04 Oldfashioned Club (13/8)

Put rivals to the sword winning by 8 lengths over track and trip last month; won his last two impressively now and this no tougher so big chance of bringing up the hat-trick; should dictate and will be hard to catch.

I’m surprised OLDFASHIONED CLUB is available to back at 13/8 at the time of writing. I’d have him an odds-on shot to take this and complete the hat-trick tonight. This is no tougher than what he’s been facing recently and he powered away from them last time. He will go forward and if he gets on the lead it may well be race over. Arrivederci won in good style on penultimate start showing a good attitude but failed to back that up last time and was beaten 10 lengths which was disappointing. Might finish second if bouncing back but enough to prove. Son Of A Saint was denied just a neck last time closing all the way to the line and also deserves a mention in opposition.

Race 6 Fort Erie 8.20 Jersey Diamond (15/8)

Improving sort who clocked a career best winning head in chest over 6f here earlier this month, always dictating; drop back in trip no issue and if in the same form is going to take a lot of stopping off the front; sure to go well.

The original US NAP was scratched so that promoted the NB to our best bet and JERSEY DIAMOND is now the new replacement for our second best bet Stateside. We head to Fort Erie in Race 6 and this 4yo should take plenty of reeling in. He poured it on to win by nearly 8 lengths over 6f here on a sloppy track latest. Back down to the minimum he has speed to burn so I expect him to break fast and grab the lead. If he does I don’t see him coming back. Hard n’Sweet is probably the danger but he has finished runner-up the last twice so has a bit to prove to get his head back in front here. He will look to close late and this might not pan out for him given the fav will set strong fractions and stays further.
