THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT PORT MACQUARIE OVERNIGHT!

Race 4 Port Macquarie 5.10 Pandora Blue (10/11)

Promising mare who improved from her debut run to land back-to-back wins at Muswellbrook and Scone before running creditably in a good race at Hawkesbury, not beaten far; can improve again and should beat these.

I think PANDORA BLUE has lots going for her here. She looked a horse going places winning at Muswellbrook and Scone and while she finished down the field when last seen at Hawkesbury she wasn’t beaten far and this is much easier. She remains open to further improvement and given she is bred to be smart I think she can really kick on now. It’s no surprise to see her figuring prominently in the market and I’m expecting her to take a lot of beating. Standing Bear has 3 wins from 15 starts and looks the danger but he will need to leave that disappointing run at Scone last time well behind to figure. Dreaming Of Gold looks to be best of the rest but is fairly exposed especially against the favourite.

Race 5 Sunshine Coast 11.00 Vaporising (11/10)

Useful type who is proven at this grade and has been going close in better races than this recently; good effort when third at Eagle Farm last time; step back in trip will suit and peak fitness now so obvious chance against these.

This looks a cracking opportunity for VAPORISING to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He might only have 2 wins from 15 starts but he has 5 placed efforts to go along with those and given he is proven at this level he has lots going for him. The opposition is weak here too and it will be disappointing if he can’t beat these. Poupee would be a big threat on some of her old form but she hasn’t fired the last twice and has enough to prove. Highland Son is a horse I like and I think he might be the main danger to the favourite. Family Star is also a nice enough type but needs to better his recent form to have a say against these. Hard to fancy anything past those mentioned.
