Race 6 Mornington 6.00 Arriva Diva (6/4)
Good looking mare who is building a nice profile now having won convincingly at Echuca at the start of the month; scope to improve again and looks well placed to follow up here in what appears to be a very winnable race.
Not the most inspiring days racing Down Under with just the two meetings but ARRIVA DIVA should take plenty of beating at Mornington. This flashy chestnut impressed last time and with further improvement to come going up in trip she can come out on top again. Jesta Dreama is respected on exposed form but with the fav on the upgrade she is going to have trouble containing her. Holster may well emerge as a greater danger as with 2 wins from 14 starts he has been running to a consistent level and should keep her honest. Expectant is unlikely to be far away but with just 2 wins from 16 starts it’s hard to see him springing an upset. The rest all have something or other to find to get involved.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT MUSWELLBROOK ON MONDAY!
Race 8 Muswellbrook 7.30 Previso (2/1)
Useful type who has 4 wins to his name and got caught wide at Armidale last time, not beaten far at the line; goes well at this track and Bullock gets the leg up now so looks to have plenty in his favour; will go close.
In a race that might not take much winning PREVISO is a strong play at Muswellbrook overnight. He has 4 wins and 4 placed efforts from 23 runs and with a better run through under Bullock this time should take some stopping. He got caught wide last time and was unlucky not to finish closer. Scorched Land has won at this track before and looks the danger but he does have a bit to prove off the back of that poor run at Newcastle last time. Weather Channel is exposed compared to the top two with 5 wins from 59 starts but he is unlikely to be far away in a weak race. Auvergne probably should have won more than she has but she is another one who should at least hit the frame in a race like this.
