THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT INDIANA GRAND ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 2 Indiana Grand 8.56 Malpais (4/5)

Smart type who made it 6 wins in a row drawing off late to win impressively over C&D last month; more in the locker yet and this no tougher so obvious chance of going in again and continuing this hot streak.

Winning machine MALPAIS can go in again at Indiana Grand tonight. He made it 6 in a row over track and trip last month and a repeat of that sort of form would see him too good again tonight. Tale Of Fame himself has won 2 of his last 3 so he looks the one to give the selection most to think about. Kearny County looked up against it but has been scratched now so just the 5 runners heading to post. Boom Five Thousand was second to the favourite last time so might not be all that far away again. He was beaten 6 lengths though and previously missed out to Game Boy Benny in a tight finish. Secretary At War just doesn’t look to be running well enough to get competitive.

Race 8 Gulfstream Park 9.34 Max K. O. (11/8)

Likeable sort who has now won 3 of his last 4 and was always travelling strongly before coming through to win convincingly over this trip on turf last month at Keeneland; more to come if handling the switch to this surface.

The progressive MAX K. O. looks the one to beat at Gulfstream tonight if handling the switch to a synthetic surface. His form is right up there and with 3 wins from his last 4 starts it would take a brave man to oppose him tonight. This trip seems to suit him well and I loved the way he travelled into it last time. Go Mike ran well when denied just half a length last time and looks the main danger if building on that again. J P Hellish put a couple of poor runs behind him to win on turf last time and also has to enter calculations especially in terms of a place. Louder Than Bombs also brings winning form to the table but this does look much tougher and I think it might just catch him out this evening.
