US NAP LANDED LAST NIGHT! We’ve focused on racing from Keeneland, Santa Anita and Woodbine on Friday night. Daily Double pays 11/4!
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SANTA ANITA TONIGHT!
Race 5 Santa Anita 11.05 Sauls Call (5/6)
Promising type who quickly improved to win impressively at Del Mar in the summer; backed that up with another convincing win at Los Alamitos last month; denied just a neck over this trip last time; likely to improve switched to turf.
It’s hard to look past the improving SAULS CALL here. He has won 2 of his last 3 and switching to turf for the first time there is likely more to come. This doesn’t look any tougher than what he has been facing lately and on another day he would have won last time too so is arguably a bit unlucky not to be coming here chasing a four-timer. Barsabas has been behind the selection the last twice but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was the danger again. He has only had 5 starts so there should be more in the locker yet. Mr. T’s Thirsty is quite prominent in the betting but he wouldn’t be for me. This is easier than his last few races but he hasn’t shown much and has finished a tired horse.

Race 7 Santa Anita 12.02 Harbour Sky (11/8)
Improving fast judging by his 2 length win over C&D last time, stalking the pace and then taking it up and galloping out to the line; more to come and this easier if anything so looks worth chancing to follow up tonight.
There was enough to like about the way HARBOUR SKY won over C&D last time to suggest he is up to giving these a beating and following up. He was firmly in control at the line and I don’t see anything good enough in here to hold him out. Intense is probably the pace angle and I think he’ll just track him through before sweeping past up the straight. Bold Voyager won his last start on dirt but was poor switching to turf last time just lacking any sort of change of gear. He is a danger again tonight but lacks the tactical speed to trouble this favourite I think. Test Drive made a bright enough start winning just second-up but he has struggled since and I can’t see how this is any easier for him.
