Newcastle 5.00 Millionaire Waltz (5/4)
Progressive sort who was back to form with a bang winning impressively over C&D last month, sweeping home from off the pace; followed up in good style last time; form franked since so can defy the penalty here.
We were with MILLIONAIRE WALTZ last time and he didn’t disappoint coming through strongly and putting it to be in good style. I always felt happy watching that race so it was a very convincing performance. The third Lucayan has come out and won well at Kempton since so the form has plenty of substance. If he handles this quick turnaround again under a 5lb penalty then the hat-trick beckons. Sea Storm looks the danger having been denied just a length over C&D when last seen faring best of those ridden prominently. Listen Again was held by the selection last time but ran well and gets a 4lb swing at the weights so should be involved as well. Harvest Day likes this track and trip and is best of the rest.

Warwick 2.30 First Quest (15/8)
Likeable type who jumped well making all at Wincanton last month, unchallenged; won 2 of his last 3 now and escapes a penalty for that latest win so obvious chance of going in again with handy 5lb claimer booked; hard to oppose.
There is plenty of pace on here so I think FIRST QUEST might be ridden a bit quieter than he was last time but he certainly showed how versatile he can be bounding away from the front to win impressively at Wincanton. When he won at Cartmel he was held up in rear so I think however this pans out he is still the most likely winner. He escapes a penalty for that victory last time as it was a conditional jockeys’ race. He is due to go up 7lb and also has Hugh Nugent’s 5lb claim so there really shouldn’t be any excuses this afternoon. The unexposed Mercutio Rock is the obvious threat now handicapping but he will need to improve to lay a glove on this likely well backed favourite.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Warwick and Newcastle on Friday.
