Cheltenham 1.10

Unbeaten over fences I think VALUE TIP is the value to bring up the hat-trick here. He really impressed staying on strongly to beat Threeunderthrufive, who has won since, at Chepstow on return last month. I don’t think he was at his best here last time but he was potentially starting to get the better of the argument when Undersupervision crashed into the rails. He is open to further improvement and in what could be run at a good gallop he should be the one closing in best up the hill.

Threeunderthrufive improved to win at Exeter and I think he could be the danger to the selection despite looking held on recent form. Oscar Elite is fav but he lacks experience and I think he is short enough in the betting. Undersupervision has a bright future in this sphere judging by that run here behind the selection last time but he’ll need more to spring an upset. Streets Of Doyen comes here with enough to prove.

Cheltenham 1.45

This doesn’t look the best renewal of this race and EMPIRE DU MAULDE looks the one to beat. He has been at his best over these longer trips (3 miles plus) and still may have a fair bit to come off a low weight here. He won easily at Kelso last month and has only been raised 5lb for that win. If in the same form around here he will win this. Forza Milan has come out as he ran here yesterday.

Yala Enki has run well in this race plenty of times (lost out by a short-head last year). He is now 11 so it hard to see him improving but if they’ve got him here in the same form as last year he will be a big threat from the front. The Mighty Don should come on for that Chepstow run but doesn’t always convince with his jumping.

Cheltenham 2.20

Put The Kettle On won this on reappearance last year and there is no doubting her record at Cheltenham. I’m going to chance NOTEBOOK though. I thought he was a bit unlucky behind the latter in the Champion Chase and he has a really good record fresh. I think there is potential for him to do even better over fences this season and he is one I want to keep on the right side of today and going forward.

Politologue should put good pace to the race and that will help him jump and settle. I can see him getting a lovely toe in here and if he jumps well he could be the one serving it up to them late. Rouge Vif won over C&D on return last season but has struggled a bit since. He gets weight from the selection though and if Paul Nicholls gets more out of him he could run a big race too in what is a fascinating renewal.

Cheltenham 2.55

One of the biggest fields for the Greatwood in quite a few years and it looks a cracking renewal. Our first selection in the race is NO ORDINARY JOE who looks to have a nice weight here on handicap debut. He isn’t that experienced but is clearly talented and looks like he could be better than his current mark of 133. He won his last 2 easily and if Henderson has him fully-fit he will run a big race here.

The other I like at an each way price is BUA BOY who has gone close against some good horses in his last two runs in Ireland and he could well be overpriced even off his British handicap mark. Jesse Evans and Adagio are the dangers with the former warming up for this on the Flat and Adagio bringing Festival form into this. They both have to give a lot of weight away so they would need to run huge races to win.

Cheltenham 3.30

This race has produced some of the best 2 milers around in the past and I LIKE TO MOVE IT could well be good enough to go to the top. He is 2 from 2 over hurdles and his win against Tritonic over course and distance last time was impressive. He should improve again for that and go well in what looks a good race. He is learning on the job and with further improvement should have too much.

Washington is the danger after putting together 3 easy wins to start his career with his win at Bangor on hurdles debut setting him up well for this. He also gets 3lb from the selection which makes it interesting. Sonigino for Paul Nicholls looks to have a chance on his first run since coming over from France. And finally Pikar who would need to step forward to take this but on his second run it is always possible.

Cheltenham 4.00

Paul Nicholls has won this twice in the past with Ghizao and Rock On Ruby but that was some 11 years ago now! He definitely has a good chance this time around though with the unbeaten TIMEFORATUNE. This horse created quite a big impression winning on debut at Ffos Las and was bought for £175,000 after that. He followed up in gutsy fashion on debut for this yard at Chepstow and can improve further. It’s always hard to be overly confident in a race like this but he should take the beating.

Aucunrisque has been nibbled at for Chris Gordon and he ran well under penalty over C&D last month. If he builds on that again he will pose a threat. Flying Sara hasn’t been seen for 13 months which is concerning but she looks to have plenty of ability and could play a part in the finish here if ready to roll.
