THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT OAKLAWN PARK ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Oaklawn Park 9.46 Higher Standard (11/8)

Exciting colt who made a bright start bolting up on debut last month, really hitting the line hard; more to come up slightly in trip and even though this is tougher should have no problem making it 2-2 tonight.

I’m looking forward to seeing HIGHER STANDARD out again after his impressive debut win. He hacked up by nearly 6 lengths and did it in the style of a really promising young horse. He just looked to be learning on the job and with further improvement can take this step up in grade. Cairama made a winning start showing a good attitude to win by a head but couldn’t back that up last time albeit in Grade 3 company. This is easier but he is coming up against a really promising colt so has enough to prove. Charter Oak is seeking a hat-trick after impressing again last time but this almost certainly requires more. Still has to be noted though. Rugs is a big price as he also made a winning start.

Race 8 Golden Gate Fields 12.13 Silver Claim (6/4)

Talented sort who has won 6 of his 8 starts and was back in the winners enclosure here last time showing a good attitude to prevail; switches back to turf now but won over C&D in the summer and has plenty in favour again.

It’s hard to look past SILVER CLAIM in Race 8 at Golden Gate Fields tonight. This 5yo has a really good record with 6 wins from just 8 starts and arguably his most impressive performance came over track and trip back in August. He is still improving judging by that last win and I see no reason why he won’t beat this bunch tonight. A Man’s Man is unexposed so looks the danger. He won nicely on penultimate start but was poor when last seen so does need to bounce back to land a blow. R M C Hook’em was behind the selection beaten 3 lengths into sixth on penultimate start so looks held. Tom’s Surprise brings winning form to the table but this is tougher and he is back on turf as well.
