NAP – Best selection of the evening
Kempton 4.30 Tangled Words (7/4)
Left previous form behind to make a winning return over C&D last month, running on well at the finish; should be lots more to come now the penny has dropped and goes handicapping off what looks a lenient mark; big chance.
Charlie Appleby saddles the first two in the betting here and TANGLED WORDS looks the one to beat. The penny really dropped over track and trip last time and with that experience under his belt now handicapping he should be tough to beat. An opening mark of just 83 looks to underestimate him and I’ll be surprised if he’s beaten. Mythical Dancer made a winning start and then ran well at Leicester but was disappointing on final start at Haydock so needs to bounce back. It’s still early days so he should bounce back and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a 1-2 for the stable. Boafo Boy looks best of the rest as he should also have more to come now sent handicapping but this is quite tough.

Wolverhampton 3.10 Abnaa (2/1)
Progressive form winning 2 of his last 3 and arguably his most impressive victory came over this C&D last time where he was always up with the pace and found more than enough; hard to oppose up just 2lb so the one to beat.
This looks a good chance for the Antony Brittain-trained ABNAA to win again. He has won 2 of his last 3 and looks at the top of his game right now. There is not a huge amount of pace on so I think he’ll be fairly prominent again and he should be in the box seat to pounce. Daany looks the danger after winning at Lingfield. He should still have more to come off this mark so can run well. Queen Of Burgundy looked good landing back-to-back wins at Kempton but has struggled off a similar mark here recently and has a bit to prove. I do think she is fair value to hit the frame though and don’t expect her to be far away. Coolagh Magic landed a gamble at Lingfield so keep an eye on the market here.
