NAP – Best selection of the evening
Cheltenham 2.25 Blazing Khal (11/10)
Progressive sort who took really well to hurdles winning readily at Galway before impressing beating Gelino Bello at Cheltenham, staying on well; step up in trip only going to unlock further improvement; should win.
Even with the 5lb penalty BLAZING KHAL looks the one to beat here. He put Gelino Bello firmly in his place and with this extra yardage looking to suit him more I think he can confirm those placings on Saturday afternoon. The latter is also a horse on the up so he could be the danger again. Barony Legends made a winning start over hurdles but this is definitely tougher so he’s going to need a big performance to peg back either of the front pair. The rest all look to have something to find in what is a good race. It will be interesting to see who leads but what I do know is the fav will be ridden quietly as he did all his best work late last time and hit the line really hard which is encouraging.

Doncaster 2.40 Porticello (2/1)
Likeable type who won despite inexperience at Wetherby, showing a good attitude under pressure and eventually coming clear readily; work in progress so only going to improve and good chance to remain unbeaten here.
I really liked what I saw from PORTICELLO at Wetherby and I marked him down as a horse to keep on the right side of. This is a good race but I think he can remain unbeaten for Gary Moore. He is a big strong horse who is still learning the game but this test should suit and he can make it 3-3 over hurdles. Magistrato was my idea of the main danger given Paul Nicholls’ record in the race but with him a non runner this morning Too Friendly is probably now the one I fear most. He impressed in tough conditions at Newcastle and looks to have more to come. Knight Salute is unbeaten as well and also has to be respected. This should throw up plenty of future winners.

The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Cheltenham and Doncaster again on Saturday afternoon.
