THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT GULFSTREAM TONIGHT!

Race 8 Gulfstream Park 8.28 Centre Aisle (6/4)

Improving filly who made an impressive return winning readily at Keeneland in October; built on that up in grade to follow up at Churchill Downs last month; this tougher again but she is firmly on the upgrade so big chance.

The hat-trick seeking CENTRE AISLE should be tough to beat in the Sugar Swirl Stakes at Gulfstream Park tonight. She is improving fast judging by her last two wins and back down to 6f she should go forward and put these to the sword. She has early pace and enough gears to hit the line hard. Frank’s Rockette is the obvious danger but she has been on the go a while now and couldn’t find any more when called upon eventually finishing third at Churchill Downs last time. She will need to improve on that to trouble this favourite. Bronx Beauty was last seen in winning form but she hasn’t been seen since and should come on for the run. Quinoa Tifah beat a couple of these last time but still needs more.

Race 9 Delta Downs 10.40 My Boy Sam (7/4)

Likeable type who caught the eye finishing a very good third on debut over C&D last month; front pair both looks decent yardsticks so with usual improvement he is going to take a lot of beating in this easier race.

I know he was beaten 12 and a half lengths but MY BOY SAM showed enough promise to be a strong selection to come out on top here. He was never matching the pace of the front pair and they both look nice horses so there was no point knocking him about late. He is entitled to come on plenty from that gentle introduction and given this is an easier race I think it’ll take a good one to beat him. He is more of a grinder so I wouldn’t want to see this turn tactical but if it goes his way he should be finishing strongly to pick them up. Actifdash has taken a bit of time to come to hand but he did run better when second last time and holds Kasens Train on that form. Sir Overanalyze may be a greater threat.
