THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT TURF PARADISE ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Turf Paradise 10.55 Press Briefing (7/4)

Likeable type who showed a great attitude to prevail at Los Alamitos back in September; tough ask next start but back to his best denied just a neck from a wide draw over 6 and a half furlongs here last time; hard to oppose up in trip.

Given PRESS BRIEFING was gaining again as the line came here last time a step back up to a mile should see him prevail here. He had to come over from a wide draw last time and probably got racing sooner than ideal. He really dug in when headed and was coming back at the line. The winner Tapit At Midnight is a decent yardstick and I think that’s good form for this race. If he builds on that he should have too much for these rivals. Conquest Cobra went down narrowly over track and trip last time and looks the danger but he is a 9yo now so unlikely there is further improvement to come. Angelo’s Pride won in good style over track and trip last month and also has to enter calculations.

Race 8 Delta Downs 10.12 Sarcastic Tone (9/4)

Progressive colt who powered clear to win impressively here last time and has won 3 of his 5 starts to date now; back in trip but doesn’t lack gears and should get to the front and burn these rivals off; most likely winner.

The improving SARCASTIC TONE looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick at Delta Downs on Thursday night. He is a colt that has the potential to be better than this grade in time and I’m surprised he is as big as 9/4 at the time of writing as he is likely to be a lot shorter come post time especially with Mojito Rojo and Silver N Lai coming out. Laughingsaintssong is a danger but is exposed in comparison and while he ran well last time I do think he needs to better than given the potential the fav brings to the table. Gotta Go is expected to come on for his reappearance run but certainly needs to. Adios Carlos is unexposed and if fit and ready to go on his return might be value to place.
