THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT MORUYA ON MONDAY MORNING!
Race 8 Moruya 6.28 Awesome Audrey (15/8)
Good looking filly who made a bright start winning on debut at this track; two good runs since and only denied a neck over track and trip last time; improving with experience and looks the one to beat in this field.
I think this is a great chance for AWESOME AUDREY to get her head back in front. She ran right up to form last time and will be fitter again so should get the better of Emma’s Gift. The latter looks the danger with 2 wins from 13 starts. She ran well when third at Kembla Grange when last seen in the summer. She can go well fresh so should run well. Stone Cold has been a busy horse with 8 wins from 74 starts so has to be respected on exposed form. At a bigger price Poetic Miss might be a bit of value to hit the frame having opened her account at Canberra last month. It’s still early days for her so like the favourite she can improve and get in the shake-up at decent odds. The rest all have enough to find.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT SANDOWN OVERNIGHT!
Race 6 Sandown 5.10 Gate Crash (2/1)
Progressive form winning at Sale and then going close over shorter here last month; looked a bit unlucky in the run and front pair came clear so form stacks up; more to come and this looks a good chance to win again.
The improving GATE CRASH should win this. He will relish this further step up in trip and is arguably a bit unlucky not to be coming here chasing a hat-trick. He met trouble in the run last time and could have finished a lot closer. Even so it was a big run and with the extra yardage in his favour he will take the beating. Wisaka is a solid yardstick with some good place form but he has found a tendency to finish second lately and may well be booked for that position again. Secretly Awesome hasn’t been running badly and looks comfortably best of the rest. Cuban State is 2 wins from 6 starts but a wide draw makes life really tough for him. He is one I’ll be keeping my eye on for the future.
