Lingfield 2.00 Porfin (11/8)
Progressive form winning 2 of his last 3; showed good speed to win over 6f at Wolverhampton last month and backed that up over 7f last time, making all; should take some catching back in trip.
I know PORFIN has been winning over 6f and even 7f last time but he doesn’t look to lack speed and he showed that making all last time. I think Hollie Doyle will be forward on him again this afternoon and he has to appeal as the most likely winner despite a penalty. Sword Exceed could be the danger given his record at this track but he was beaten 10 lengths last time and the handicapper has only dropped him 1lb from that. I think he needs more help from the assessor on recent evidence. Thegreyvtrain is on a long losing run but she might be up with the speed as well so could be the one to chase the favourite home. Lorna Cole best of the rest if the first-time visor helps bring her back to form.

Newcastle 3.00 Three Platoon (6/4)
Promising colt who came into his own up in trip over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last month; 4lb rise looks fair and more to come up to 2 miles for the first time; sure to go close here granted usual luck in-running.
Kingman colt THREE PLATOON looks a good bet to follow up at Newcastle on Tuesday. He clocked a career best up in trip at Wolverhampton last month and with scope to improve again tackling 2 miles for the first time he can take care of these. Riggsby also brings winning form to the table after winning over C&D last time and he is unexposed as well but I just think he lacks the class the fav brings to the table. They look most likely to finish the 1-2 but Mukha Magic is consistent and is entitled to be on the premises as well if matching recent form. The Mouse Doctor returns to the Flat but might just need this spin to be sharper. Hard to see Thibault, Manjaam or Magellan springing an upset.
