Race 7 Launceston 10.00 Clifton Danseur (6/4)
Got no luck when crowded last time and better than that as he showed when a close second prior to that; more in the locker yet and this looks a great chance to get firmly back on track; definitely worth chancing.
It’s been a bit of a nightmare Down Under as we had our bets ready to go but Canterbury got called off so I had to re-jig a lot of our selections. We now head to Launceston for our Aussie NAP and CLIFTON DANSEUR has a great chance of getting back to winning ways. He suffered a luckless passage last time and his form prior to that certainly stacks up. He needs to bounce back obviously but I think he’ll go off a short price here. High Maintenance is a solid yardstick and he is the horse I think will give him most to think about. Indigo Girls does catch the eye at a bigger price but she let supporters down last time so she is going to need to get back on track to run into a place.

Race 1 Sandown 4.05 Heavenly Eagle (7/4)
Slowly away on debut so did well to get as close as he did going down just a nose at the line; sure to improve from that initial effort and looks to have found a great chance to go one better here; one to keep safe for sure.
I’ve got to be with HEAVENLY EAGLE following that promising debut effort over C&D. He was slowly into stride which you can understand given it was his debut and he will likely be a lot sharper here. He ran on strongly and only went down a nose so given he will be a lot more streetwise now and likely break on terms he is impossible to oppose for me. Golden Vitrine is obviously the fly in the ointment given he is on debut. I’d only be concerned if there was tons of market support and at the time of writing he is fairly weak against the favourite anyway. Spring Valley is 0/4 and already looks a tad vulnerable to me. I Am Yours definitely has a future but likely needs more time and experience.
