NAP – Best selection of the evening
Newcastle 7.00 Fly To Glory (5/4)
Promising sort who certainly knew his job making all unchallenged on debut over C&D last month; only going to improve from that initial effort and looks well placed to defy a penalty and make it a perfect 2-2 here.
This looks a great chance for the Archie Watson-trained FLY TO GLORY to win again. He was impressive on debut making every yard a winning one and with scope for improvement he should make it 2-2 here. There is no obvious pace on so I expect Hollie Doyle to push forward and grind these into submission. The danger may well come from a debutant but you’d have to worry about their lack of experience against a horse as sharp as the fav. Saxon Village is well related so if forward enough might be the one to chase the selection home. Em Jay Kay has shown potential so also has to be respected. Friendly Vegan has experience too but definitely needs to improve to land a blow at the finish.

Wincanton 2.35 Aliomaana (6/4)
Looked a nice filly winning head in chest around Perth last year and while she hasn’t built on that yet she has been highly tried especially the last twice; will find this much easier and looks to have leading claims.
I know recent form figures from ALIOMAANA aren’t all that inspiring but she has been racing in some good contests. She was beaten less than 4 lengths behind Knight Salute at Cheltenham and then wasn’t entirely disgraced at Aintree. These are much calmer waters and I think she can resume her progress and win this for an in-form yard. Whisky Express is well related and shaped as though she needed the run at Lingfield so if sharper here could be the biggest danger to the favourite. Briery Express showed decent form in bumpers and still has potential over hurdles so could also get involved. Dicey Rielly is also entitled to progress but again definitely need to find more to trouble the selection.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Wincanton and Newcastle on Thursday.
