NAP – Best selection of the evening

Promising filly who was a big eye-catcher on debut missing by just a head at the line over 7f at Gulfstream; sure to improve from that and should relish this step up in trip so comfortably looks the most likely winner.

The NAP was back to winning ways Stateside overnight so hopefully we can get a bit of momentum going now! You know we have hit some monster winning runs in the past in America and I feel like another one isn’t too far away. We head to Keeneland on Thursday where FALCONET should prove tough to beat. She ran a cracker on debut very much learning on the job and given she’ll be more streetwise tonight coupled with this step up in trip likely to suit she should have too much for these rivals. Friendship Road ran her best race to date when runner-up over a mile at Gulfstream last time but she was still beaten over 5 lengths and she’ll need more. Silverleaf might be the one for second.

Likeable sort who still looked a work in progress last season and capped it off with a convincing win over track and trip; excuses when beaten narrowly on return and can put that right tonight and salute the judge.

Big Engine managed to get the better of COST BASIS last time but he had a run under his belt and the selection had plenty go wrong in-running. With a clearer run through and that under his belt he is extremely hard to get away from tonight. He likes this C&D and will be finishing strongly. So much so that I’ll be very surprised if he is beaten tonight. Big Engine still needs to be respected but he was beaten 5 lengths last time and has ground to make up with Jaxon Traveler now and the latter looks the main threat. He is very consistent and should put up the most resistance. Mr Phil won last time but this is definitely tougher so while he could also shape well I think he needs more to follow up.
