Race 9 Gulfstream Park 10.19 Starlite Walker (11/8)

Likeable type who improved to make the breakthrough over 6f here on penultimate start and bumped into a nice horse when a good second latest; open to further improvement and this looks a good chance to win again.

Great night Stateside overnight as we landed a monster double which was nice to wake up to. We head to Gulfstream on Saturday night as we look to follow up and STARLITE WALKER looks the one to beat. He impressed on penultimate start before bumping into The Distractor last time. With further progress on the cards now I think he can make it 2 wins from his last 3 starts here. There isn’t much pace on so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him push forward and look to try and make all. The danger is likely Ben Copenhagen but he does lack a run and that could be telling in the closing stages. Mitico has been running to a fairly consistent level and he might not be too far away either.

Race 9 Woodbine 10.31 Loyalty (6/4)

Promising filly who made a bright start winning impressively on debut over track and trip last month despite learning on the job; sure to improve from that initial effort and looks well placed to make it 2-2 tonight.

I’m expecting LOYALTY to remain unbeaten at Woodbine tonight. This filly looked very promising winning on debut despite looking a little rough around the edges and with natural improvement she is going to be tough to beat as she looks to make it 2-2. Hard Edge progressed nicely last season and made an encouraging return beaten just 2 lengths here last time so looks the obvious danger if managing to build on that run. Constitution Gal is also unexposed and got her head in front last time. If she improves she is another one that could be a danger to the favourite. The selection should be a lot more streetwise now and I can see her bouncing out and burning these all off late on.
