Progressive chaser last season bringing up a hat-trick of wins with 2 of those over this C&D; given a spin over hurdles on reappearance finishing a good second and should be spot on for this now; likely prove hard to beat.
There was lots to like about the way NO NO MAESTRO won over C&D when last over fences back in October last year. He attacked his obstacles with enthusiasm and was much the best on the day winning by some 24 lengths unchallenged. He will be fit from that recent spin over hurdles and I know he is 10lb higher now back in this sphere but his aggressive tactics may well pay dividends in this small field. If he gets into that rhythm again off the front I don’t think he’ll come back to them. Shentri was back to form beaten 5 lengths into second at Plumpton and if he builds on that he could be the one to chase the favourite home. An Marcach needs to prove his stamina over 3 miles to be a player.

Fontwell 3.49 Good News (15/8)
Likeable type who has won at this track 3 times before and arrives here chasing a four-timer after he won going away at Warwick last week; turned out quickly under a 7lb penalty but clearly the one they all have to beat.
With just the 4 horses heading to post this looks a great chance for GOOD NEWS to make it four wins straight. He is a 10yo now but is clearly thriving and even under a penalty I think he could have too much for these rivals. He kept finding at Warwick and was going away at the finish which was quite impressive. Warranty was back to form following a dismal display at Kempton when runner-up at Plumpton last time and if he can build on that he might emerge as the danger. The betting is certainly suggesting that anyway. Jersey Wonder has won here before but needs to show more to land a blow. Presenting Yeats isn’t the most straightforward but then again blinkers might help him to focus.
