MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 3 AT TOWNSVILLE ON TUESDAY MORNING!

Race 3 Townsville 3.57 Private Sector (10/11)

Took a big step forward to open his account on return over shorter here last time; that was just his fourth start so obviously open to further improvement; looks to have found a good opportunity to go and follow up.

Back down in calmer waters PRIVATE SECTOR made no mistake here on reappearance. He got nicely settled in fourth and kept on well to pick them up late to win convincingly. This doesn’t look much tougher so he really should be following up. Go Deep is exposed in comparison but does have 3 wins to his name. He is 0/7 over this trip though which would have to be concerning. He is likely to run his race but at the same time hard to see him overhauling the favourite. Shepherd Of Fire might be a greater danger as both his wins have come over this trip. He is out of form but if bouncing back should run well. Hard to see much else landing a blow. Light Field a possibility but enough to prove on balance.

Race 5 Hawkesbury 5.35 Decisive Move (6/4)

Likeable filly who improved to win at Warwick Farm on penultimate start; not so good on final outing but put away since; been trialed twice in preparation for this and likely hard to peg back from a low draw; big chance.

This very much revolves around the improving DECISIVE MOVE and I think she can make a winning return here. Her win at Warwick Farm was impressive enough and if getting back to that sort of form she will be hard to reel in. She has a low draw and should be spot on for this following a couple of recent Randwick trials. Kyalla is second fav in the betting and has to be feared fresh but I think Shotgun Alli may emerge as a greater danger. She is hitting peak fitness now and is certainly capable so should run well. Honeysuckle Choice is pretty exposed now but ran okay when fifth at Albury and is another one likely in the mix but possibly only for a place. The rest all look to have enough to prove at present.
