MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT CARNARVON ON THURSDAY!

Race 6 Carnarvon 10.15 Mystical Man (11/10)

Likeable type who needed the run on return and then was slowly away and got caught wide when denied just a length last time; won third-up before and if he handles the wide gate he will be tough to beat here.

Quite a tough night overnight Down Under but MYSTICAL MAN does catch the eye in the lucky last at Carnarvon. He has a progressive profile overall with 3 wins and 2 places from just 9 starts. He needed the run on return and stepped forward last time where he looked a bit unlucky getting a poor trip throughout. If things drop better here with added fitness he should take a lot of beating. Volpe looks to be the danger as while he is exposed he has 6 wins to his name including 9 places from 47 starts so if he runs his race he will likely chase the favourite home. Egg White was a solid third at Ascot last time and a similar run would see him thereabouts here as well. Bush Icon best of the rest.

Race 6 Ipswich 6.22 Reliable Ruby (2/1)

Tough and promising mare who impressed winning by a nose at Doomben on return in April and ran on well beaten by a nose over C&D last time; hard to beat if running to that sort of level again so keep safe.

With the rail RELIABLE RUBY should be a tough nut to crack at Ipswich on Thursday morning. She is improving all the time with 2 wins and 3 places from just the 6 starts. Building a nice profile and looks a mare to keep firmly on side for now. Princess Bojack is a decent yardstick and she could run well but she has gone off the boil a bit lately so needs to bounce back to her best to have a say. Ourconi won at Gold Coast last time so confidence will be high so he might be a danger to the favourite. Never Paid is another one to note but gone off it a bit last two runs. If back to his best won’t be far away but still needs more to challenge the selection. In Awe Of Me is also noted in here.
