Goodwood 4.20 Broadspear (2/1)
Promising colt who took a big step forward to go down just half a length at Thirsk on first crack at a mile; more to come again up in trip and looks to have found a good opportunity to make the breakthrough here.
I’m expecting BROADSPEAR to prove hard to beat at Goodwood on Sunday. This colt took a sizeable step forward on reappearance at Thirsk and with further improvement to come going up in trip again he should have these covered under David Egan. The danger is likely Knight Of Honour as the market is suggesting. He is also improving with experience and should keep the selection honest. Sea The Stars colt Nawras needed the outing when down the field on debut at Newbury but will likely know a lot more this time around. I still think he has enough to find to overhaul the selection though so maybe best watched again. Inigo makes his debut on the Flat but this is a tough enough ask.

Musselburgh 6.15 Tamaska (3/1)
Caught the eye on return at Doncaster and improved to get back to winning ways at Wetherby last month making all; followed up under different tactics at Yarmouth; big run in defeat at York latest; hard to beat.
Some good racing at Musselburgh on Sunday and TAMASKA catches the eye given his recent form. He has won 2 of his last 3 and looked a touch unlucky not to land the hat-trick last time having been given enough to do. If he turns up in similar form here I think he’ll win this. He is up another 5lb but still has potential off this mark and as long as he isn’t given too much to do he will be finishing best of all. Bringitonboris looked poised to run well so might emerge as the main danger. Mister Bluebird is another one to note having stuck to the task at York last time. If he gets the trip he could get involved as well. Starshiba is well treated now but does need to show more to land a blow.
