NAP – Best selection of the evening
Thirsk 4.30 Julia Augusta (5/4)
Ulysses filly who looked a nice prospect winning on debut at Kempton last year, still far from the finished article; given time to mature since and that form has worked out well; sure to improve and can remain unbeaten.
The NAP was disappointing yesterday just looking flat-footed when asked to get competitive. Hopefully we can put that behind us and get back to winning ways on Wednesday. We head to Thirsk where Cheveley Park filly JULIA AUGUSTA can make it a perfect 2-2. She won despite running green on debut and given time since she is likely to have improved a fair bit since. This is a nice starting point and I think she can make it 2-2. Cubana Habana is already gelded but won nicely at Hamilton when last seen and is the obvious danger to the selection. Positive Force has course experience and has shown ability in two starts to date so shouldn’t be underestimated either.

Kempton 6.30 Dubai Welcome (7/4)
Came into his own to win over C&D on just his fourth start and caught the eye running a big race back from a lengthy layoff over track and trip at the start of the month; cheekpieces back on and remains capable of better.
With the promise of more to come DUBAI WELCOME is taken to get back to winning ways at Kempton on Wednesday. He has only had 5 starts so the best is surely yet to come? He shaped like his ability was still intact when runner-up over track and trip last time and with that under his belt he can improve enough to win this and resume his progress. Nao Da Mais was a good second here last time and if he can build on that he might be the one to chase the selection home. Motazzen was only fourth at Chelmsford last time but he is heading the right way for this yard and he might improve enough to run into the frame as well. Of the rest Findono finished behind Honiton and Postwick so also has to be noted.
