NAP – My best tip of the day
Kempton 5.50 Zakram (2/1)
Promising type who has been a work in progress but penny certainly dropped at Lingfield last time where he came sweeping home to get up late, going away at the finish; up 5lb but sure to improve again now tackling a mile.
I loved that performance from ZAKRAM at Lingfield last time and now the penny has dropped I think he can progress through the ranks. If you look at his 3 qualifying runs it’s interesting connections ran him over the minimum trip knowing that would have taken him out of his comfort zone to get a good mark? He was only fifth at Beverley on handicap debut and that was behind Princess Naomi but we know he has improved since as he readily reversed that form with Clear To Land last time. He’s up 5lb but will progress again up to a mile and I think he can beat Princess Naomi who has improved herself but is up another 8lb now which looks plenty. Romantic Sunlight best of the rest but needs more.

Ffos Las 1.25 Our Jester (2/1)
Big strong type who won a couple of bumpers before running creditably in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham; promise again on this level when third at Chepstow latest; hard to beat now handicapping up further in trip.
I think the potential OUR JESTER brings to the table is clear to see here and I’m likely not alone given he has been sent off favourite or joint favourite on 3 runs on the Flat so far. He again showed promise when third at Chepstow and an opening mark of 75 stepping up to a mile and three-quarters could prove lenient. Given his size and end-to-end gallop will suit so hopefully he gets that. There is rain due too which you would think would only help his chance further. Psyche won at Brighton and then followed up at Wolverhampton last time. He is in good form and stays well so looks the obvious danger. Singing The Blues has form that ties in with that horse so might not be too far away either.
