NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT GULFSTREAM PARK ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 8 Gulfstream Park 11.50 Dem A Wonder (11/8)
Likeable filly who has won 4 of her last 6 and went down all guns blazing by just a neck over 6f here last month; still just a 4yo so could still have further improvement to come and should take the beating here.
I’ve been a big fan of DEM A WONDER and back up to 7f here I think she will take a lot of beating tonight. That was a big run even in defeat last time and she arrives at the top of her game. The second in the betting is Shes All Woman and she holds that mare on recent form but then has gone on to win her next two impressively. She is the danger again but likely needs more to stop the selection saluting the judge once more. Bion Magic is on a hat-trick but this is definitely tougher than her last two starts but she is still respected. Let’s Be Honest is also chasing 3 in a row but again finds herself in deeper company here so will need to put in a career best to come out on top tonight.

Race 6 Del Mar 2.25 The Big Wam (6/4)
Improving colt who really impressed with how he pegged back the leader last time and knuckled down bravely to come out on top; should get a good pace to aim at again and will likely be finishing best of all.
The scopey THE BIG WAM can make it 2 wins from 4 starts at Del Mar tonight. He stayed on strongly to peg back the leader last time and looks a colt with gears. He is going to improve again and I think he’ll prove tough to beat with experience likely counting for plenty here. Straighten Up brings potential to the table having scored on debut but he wasn’t all that impressive and didn’t hit the line with too much conviction. If the selection gets him in his sights he should readily overhaul him late on. Whobeterthantiger also made a bright start winning on debut but this is a big enough step up so he’ll likely have to be pretty useful to win this. Hard to fancy much else in here.
