NAP – My best tip of the day
Catterick 2.20 Talamanca (7/4)
Good looking sort who hit the front going best and galloped away strongly to win easily at Windsor last week; turned out quickly under a penalty and looks the most likely winner with further improvement to come.
A repeat of that Windsor performance would make TALAMANCA really tough to beat at Catterick on Monday. He was relentless in the closing stages and really hit the line well. The drop back to this trip looked ideal for him and turned out quickly under a penalty he ticks plenty of boxes. Acton Bell showed promise at Wolverhampton and could progress now handicapping. He may well prove to be the main danger. Man Made Of Smoke was back on track when second at Leicester and is likely best of the rest with Ben Curtis in the saddle. Tanzanite settled better last time at least but has a wide enough draw and this is probably a stiff enough ask. Hello Havana also needs to show more to get involved.

Windsor 6.20 Dora Penny (15/8)
Likeable filly who moved smoothly into contention before winning readily again at Ffos Las last week; clearly thriving on her racing right now and even with a double penalty expect her to prove hard to beat.
The winning machine that is DORA PENNY is out again at Windsor on Monday. She had no problem bringing up the hat-trick last week and I rate the horse she beat into second Bibulous so that was a nice performance. Peggoty who she beat last month won yesterday too so her form is really starting to stack up. Obviously she has a double penalty here but this is another winnable race and it looks a good bit of placement by connections. Brazen Idol is on a hat-trick himself and rates the main threat to the favourite. He is up in grade though and is 4lb higher so this won’t be easy coming up against a filly who is clearly at the top of her game right now. Major Gatsby looks best of the rest but is up another 5lb.
