NFL Week 7 kicks-off with the 4-2 Kansas City Chiefs taking on the 2-4 Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

The Chiefs come into this after losing their last two games and will be desperately trying to break the streak against a Denver side who started 0-4 but have won their last two so it should be decent game in Denver.

Denver love the under – The under has landed in 13 of the last 15 Denver games, mainly due to their amazing defence but also because they struggle to put up many points.
Chiefs still one of the best – Kansas City don’t lose often hence the shock at the last two losses. They have won 12 of the last 18 which is amongst the best in the NFL.
Denver’s 2 wins paper over the cracks – Denver’s two wins recently end a 6 game losing streak but they did come against average teams so the jury is still out whether they have improved.

Can the Chiefs protect Mahomes?

He is carrying a slight ankle knock so will need more protection than he got against Houston. Some of the offensive line missed the game on Sunday, if the Chiefs get 1 or 2 back for this game in Denver they should give Mahomes enough time to score enough points to win.

The other issue for the Chiefs is the let Houston run for 192 yards Sunday which is an issue against a Denver side who are arguably a run first offence.

Can Joe Flacco put up points?

As mentioned Denver run the ball a lot and average 5.2 yards per rush. This leaves Flacco playing second fiddle a little bit and as a result he has only averaged 1 TD per game which may not be enough against a Chief team who have scored 24 plus points in 8 of their last 10. Compare this to Denver who have scored 24 or more once in 10 games.

The Denver defence always keep them in games and it will help them in this as they rank 4th against the pass which the Chiefs favour (number 1 pass offence). They will need Von Miller and the rest if the defence on top form to hang in there.

Both teams have contrasting styles but I think this comes down to Denver not being able to score enough and even though they will get to Mahomes he is still likely to score enough to get the all important win.
