Well related colt who made the perfect start beating a subsequent winner in Khuzaam on debut at Lingfield last November; not seen since but open to plenty of improvement now and has plenty of potential.
Owen Burrows looks to have a smart colt on his hands in DAWAAM and given time since his winning debut last year he should start to fulfil that potential as his trainer has always thought a fair bit of him. The horse he beat that day Khuzaam won his next start with plenty in hand and was actually back to form impressively last night, winning by 7 lengths, so the form really stacks up. Informed Front is the main danger but he was turned over at 4/9 last time so has a bit to prove now. The selection is a confident choice to make it 2-2.

Brighton 2.30 Bardo Contiguo (11/8)
Came from well off the pace to open his account at Ayr last time and that effort can be marked up given he was keen in the early stages and was denied a clear run at one stage; 3lb rise fair and should continue to improve.
He is likely to be a warm order but with good reason BARDO CONTIGUO looks to have a good opportunity to follow up for Roger Varian. He showed a great attitude to come out on top at Ayr and with the promise of more to come he is a confident selection to come out on top here in what looks a very winnable race. There’s a fair bit of pace on which should help him settle and he should finish to good effect under Andrea Atzeni. He is unexposed compared to this bunch so there’s plenty to like.
