Useful form finishing third on debut over hurdles at Kempton before chasing home some good horses at Cheltenham; fourth behind Harry Senior on return at Chepstow probably needing the run and should improve plenty; serious player with yard flying.
With Wincanton abandoned this morning we have a replacement NAP for you today and head to Ludlow. GOSHEVEN has been backed 2/1 into 10/11 in the market and it’s not hard to see why once you dig into his profile. He has acquitted himself well in four runs to date over hurdles and looked to need it when running with promise on return at Chepstow. He is taken to improve enough to open his account here. I’m Wiser Now often finds one too good but still represents the main danger.

Ludlow 2.20 Almazhar Garde (9/4)
Caught my eye a couple of times prior to opening his account on just his second start over fences at Catterick last month; jumped and travelled well throughout; 10lb rise from the assessor tells us he fears further improvement; looks the most likely winner.
I was wondering what the handicapper would do following ALMAZHAR GARDE‘s romp at Catterick last month. He is a scopey sort who looks to have turned a corner now so he could really kick on and a 10lb rise looks more than fair. He should have every chance of following up under Gavin Sheehan. At Its Own Expense ran well when third to Locker Room Talk last time and rates the biggest danger. He’ll need to improve though.
