Race 2 Gulfstream 5.34 Miz Chaplin (8/11)
Swung off the bend with plenty of momentum and really knuckled down well for pressure quickly pulling clear and finding plenty to open her account in November; low head carriage so good attitude and nicely clear; open to progress and the one to beat.
Blue Buff powered clear from the opposition to land our NAP last night and we have another warm order this evening in MIZ CHAPLIN. She was very impressive the last day and I expect her to kick on now. She will need to improve but she has all the right qualities to do so and she won’t mind if this becomes a battle as she showed a great attitude to keep pulling clear last time. Don’t Get Khozy rates the biggest danger and should be the one to chase her home.

Race 6 Tampa Bay Downs 7.21 Vaunt (7/4)
Tracked the pace through on debut and challenged virtually on the bit before going clear in a professional manner; moved up soon enough last time up in grade and looked a bit green; beat by a smart mare latest; this easier and open to improvement.
For me VAUNT lost little in defeat last time. She was brushed aside by Capoeira but that mare looks very promising and she isn’t meeting anything of that quality tonight I don’t think. She probably hit the front too soon the last day anyway and was just having a look around when swamped. Under more patient tactics her finishing kick should be too hot to handle and I’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t prove the answer. 7/4 is a very good price (some firms a lot shorter) and I can see her being popular come post time.
