THE AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT TOWNSVILLE ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Townsville 6.52 Olindo (6/5)

Progressive sort who has won his last four straight and taken his form up a notch winning impressively over track and trip last time; can keep improving so should be extremely hard to beat again and one to keep on side.

The likeable OLINDO had no issue making a winning return over C&D last time and with added fitness on side coupled with the likelihood of further improvement he should be tough to beat again here as he looks to make it five wins in a row. The danger is likely fellow last time out winner Curvetta who also impressed over C&D last time. Her overall record makes her a bit vulnerable but if she is in the same form she should at least keep the favourite honest in the closing stages. Raise Da Vibration is a talented yardstick as well and with decent course figures he has to be feared but likely lacks the potential of the favourite and might run a screamer but without quite being good enough again.

Race 4 Cranbourne 10.15 Gusmao (6/4)

Improving with experience and was beaten less than a length at Ballarat earlier this month; up in trip again which will help and this looks a great opportunity for him to make the breakthrough before going on to better things.

Great chance for GUSMAO to make the breakthrough. He was well punted on debut but just got a bit far back before running on strongly at the finish. He was beaten around 3 and a half lengths on that occasion so took a sizeable step forward when denied less than a length at Ballarat last time. With further improvement on the cards going up in trip again he should have what it takes to win this. The second fav Chart Buster isn’t underestimated as he is a fair yardstick who has some solid form to his name but he is 0/10 now and I’ll be surprised if he gets the better of the favourite. Chromosphere will do better with time and experience following an encouraging enough debut at Sandown.
