Espoir De Guye landed the Preview Pointer a nice winner yesterday and we’ll be looking to follow up on Saturday. I’ve been waiting to see PATHS OF GLORY again as things didn’t go his way when second at Newcastle. He did well to go as close as he did and back at this track he is a strong fancy to come out on top and resume his progression. The 7/4 looks generous and I expect him to be well backed come post time. Francis Xavier should go well again and is respected but All Yours rates the main danger having fended off an improver to win last time.

Did well in bumpers winning his last two and looked a combination of needing the experience as well as the run when third to Glenduff at Carlisle on hurdles debut; form hasn’t quite worked out yet but it looked a good race and he should improve plenty.
There’s a lot to like about the claims of EQUUS DANCER here for Peter Bowen. He finished third behind two above-average novices in Glenduff and Faustinovick on his first attempt over hurdles at Carlisle last month and is expected to build on that now and come out on top here. Both Cook The Books and The Swagman are dangers but if the selection has come on he’ll be hard to beat. Jour A La Plage might be worth an each way saver at a huge price as he should make up into a decent horse in time.
