Won on debut for this yard, staying on well from a solid yardstick; very good second at Haydock and the winner looks smart now; chased home another exciting horse last time and form stacks up so rates the one to beat up in trip.
The run of NAP winners continued yesterday as Ask Paddy ran out a convincing winner. We’re looking to land the six-timer today and head to Kelso this afternoon. THE CON MAN ran a cracker when second to Flinck latest and his form stacks up having finished second to Marie’s Rock prior to that. He’s shaped as though going up in trip would suit and given his unexposed profile he is likely to take a lot of stopping here. McGowan’s Pass landed a gamble when winning at Ayr last time and is a big danger as I think he’s a nice horse too but the selection should have too much when it comes down to the business end.

Plumpton 3.00 Hideaway Vic (6/4)
Won a bumper here and has shaped well in three starts over hurdles since; second at Flos Las on return from 239 days off the track and should improve on that; goes handicapping up in trip after a wind op and looks to have a big chance.
There should be more to come from HIDEAWAY VIC now handicapping off a mark of 120 stepping up to three miles for the first time. He has had a wind op since second at Ffos Las and with room for improvement in the jumping department we could see a different horse today. The market is certainly agreeing as he has been strong in the betting all day. The Wicket Chicken is back on her last winning mark so has to be considered while Whiskey In The Jar should come on for that Aintree run also stepping up in trip.
