Landed a hat-trick of wins prior failing to get involved when down the field at Gold Coast last time; wide draw to contend with again but if he gets over and on the lead he should make all under Josh Oliver; worth chancing as looks good value against the fav.
Another Notebook winner landed Down Under this morning so hopefully we can kick on now and get the double in. PAPA JO stands out here to me and he is taken to put that recent disappointment behind him and get back on the winning trail. The double-figure gate is a concern but is he breaks sharply he could get on the speed and dominate. He’s going the right way. Better Thinking showed good speed to win over track and trip last time so looks the main threat. It’s definitely between the pair.

Progressive sort who impressed when winning here last month, powering clear to win readily; extra yardage should see her improve again and she is well placed to follow up under Mitchell Pateman; more to come and one to keep on side.
This looks a good chance for recent course winner PORPHYRIO to strike again! She is a 4yo on the upgrade and impressed the last day. She should have more to offer and the 3/1 makes plenty of appeal in this race. My Fair Balentine is a big danger as she has won over track and trip before and could be suited by how this plays out. Specialism just missed behind Wee Ripper at Ascot in a better race so also comes into calculations but I’ll be hoping the favourite can go in again at a decent price.
