Race 5 Woodbine 8.18 Flash Of Silver (1/1)
Improving colt who dotted up by 5 lengths here on the synthetic surface last month; tries turf for the first time now but can keep progressing and looks well placed to get himself in the winners enclosure again; hard to oppose.
Expecting FLASH OF SILVER to win this and win this well. He should relish the switch to turf and with a lack of pace on he may well push forward and look to dictate again. He clocked some good figures the last day and is clearly firmly on the upgrade now. Cerrado has won two of his last three and rates the main danger to the selection. He was well held last time though so needs to bounce back from that. However you break it down it’s hard to get away from the favourite. Looks to have plenty in favour!

Smart gelding who left his debut run well behind to win impressively over this trip on turf here earlier this month; he was subsequently disqualified so compensation awaits; back on a synthetic surface now but obvious chance.
I liked the way DR GREEN made rapid headway before quickly settling it last time. He did end up losing the race in the stewards room but turned out quickly can gain compensation tonight. He clearly has a big engine so the switch back to a synthetic surface shouldn’t bother him. He looks to have this race at his mercy and 5/4 is generous if anything. I’d make him an odds-on shot and he may well be come post time. Final Eclipse is open to improvement and may emerge as the main danger.
