THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT WOODBINE ON SATURDAY NIGHT AS WE LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK!

Race 9 Woodbine 9.51 Cambier Parc (6/5)

Exciting filly who was last seen winning back-to-back Grade 1’s at Del Mar and Keeneland; won three of his last four and clearly firmly on the upgrade; not seen for 336 days so fitness taken on trust but should make a winning return.

Sticking with the progressive CAMBIER PARC here for our best bet on Saturday night. She was already won 5 times including two Grade 1’s and two Grade 3’s. She is clearly the one to beat in this contest but the lengthy lay-off is a slight concern. The market should be a good indicator and she has already been shaved into odds-on with some firms. She set the pace when last seen and dominated the opposition so with a lack of pace on here it wouldn’t surprise me if she adopted similar tactics again. Elizabeth Way was previously trained by Mick Halford in Ireland and has done well since coming over to the States. She was only beaten two lengths at Woodbine last time and her form entitles her to chase home the selection here. Theodora B. should also be fighting it out for a place.

Race 10 Kentucky Downs 11.04 Zulu Alpha (13/8)

Useful type who has won three of his last four; back to his best showing a great attitude to prevail in a Grade 2 at Keeneland in July; hard to oppose if turning up in the same form as he bids to land career win number 13.

Hoping this will be straightforward for ZULU ALPHA. He has won three of his last four and was back to his best last time winning gamely. He will be ridden quietly again and look to swoop late. Arklow is the closest in the betting and is held by the selection on recent form so that says it all. He can run well without being good enough again. Postulation finished second to the selection last time and that was a very good effort. He could end up being the one to fill that position again. He could push forward and try and string them out again but I can’t see how he’ll reverse that form. Hard to recommend much else but Red Knight has some solid form in the book and may run well enough for a place. His win at Belmont in October was a decent effort.
