NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT AQUEDUCT ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Aqueduct 7.45 Phantom Smoke (7/4)
Ghostzapper colt who broke smartly on debut but took a pull, travelling well throughout before picking up well in the straight to assert in good style; still very raw so should know a lot more now and looks one to keep on side.
We head to Aqueduct on Friday night for our best bet and PHANTOM SMOKE looks a good bet to make it 2-2. I was really taken with his debut win and he did it despite showing signs of inexperience. He changed his legs several times in the straight but was still good enough to win pretty much head in chest. If he steps forward again which he should he will take this out before going onto better things in time. Lookin for Trouble is making his first start on turf and remains open to improvement so could emerge as the main danger. I think the selection has the most potential of these though and is a confident pick. Stablemate Swashbuckle also made a winning start and shouldn’t be far away either.

Race 4 Tampa Bay Downs 6.48 War Giant (15/8)
Things didn’t go to plan last time but if you forgive him that run he was very impressive before that and has bounced back before so should run a big race here; happy to chance him in this easier company.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why WAR GIANT failed to fire last time but it may well have been down to the quick turnaround and if he bounces back here he could easily be too good for these. His win prior to blowing out was very impressive and if he can get back to that form he’ll take an awful lot of beating. Bootlegger dug deep to prevail last time in this grade so has to be feared in opposition. If the selection fails to fire then he is probably the most likely winner. Purimeter was third to the selection when last seen beaten 8 lengths so he has his work cutout to try and turn around that form. Suspect A Storm is consistent and should be battling it out for a place.
Evening Double
The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Tampa Bay Downs and Aqueduct on Friday night.
