Wednesday’s Best Bets
LET’S BOUNCE BACK! Tough day on Tuesday but the racing does look better on Wednesday so hopefully we can get back on track after a good start to 2021 (Profit & Loss will be posted to Twitter).
Scroll down to find our most confident selections (NAP & NB) PLUS race-by-race picks for every race across all FOUR meetings.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER AT LEICESTER ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Leicester 2.10 Zambella (10/11)
Looked in her element since sent chasing making it 2-2 staying on gamely at Warwick last month; her accurate jumping should put these to the sword so good chance of bringing up the hat-trick here.
This should be a good race but I’m confident ZAMBELLA can remain unbeaten over fences. She has taken really well to the larger obstacles beating a good yardstick in Stormy Ireland at Bangor and then improving to win convincingly at Warwick last time. She showed a good attitude under pressure and her bold jumping should see her go close again as she bids to land the hat-trick. Cut The Mustard chased home the likeable Annie Mc at Doncaster 15 days ago and if she builds on that she looks the one most likely to give the selection a race. Sacre Coeur brings French form to the table having won her last two but I suspect she’ll need more to get involved here back from 6 months off the track.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT PLUMPTON ON WEDNESDAY!
Plumpton 3.30 High Up In The Air (1/1)
Put in another assured round to win unchallenged here earlier this month and clearly a horse on the upgrade right now; 7lb penalty makes things tougher again but likeable sort who still looks capable of more.
Another good race but I expect HIGH UP IN THE AIR to make it three in a row for Gary Moore and Niall Houlihan. This horse has really turned a corner lately jumping notably well with two all the way wins at Lingfield and over further here. He has a 7lb penalty but his claimer negates that and he looks to have every chance of going in again for his local trainer. He is a strong travelling sort so the drop back down in trip is certainly no bad thing. Eurkash opened his account in this sphere at Bangor last time and is lightly raced so should have more to offer. Looks to be the main danger to the selection. Princess Midnight made the breakthrough at Hereford but was really poor last time.
