THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT GOLDEN GATE FIELDS ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Golden Gate Fields 11.28 Year Of The Ox (5/4)
Promising sort who was back to form when beaten just half a length into second over the extended 5f here last month; capable of better yet and looks well placed to build on that and get back to winning ways.
The NAP was back in the winners enclosure Stateside last night and we’ll be hoping to follow up at Golden Gate tonight. YEAR OF THE OX catches the eye in Race 6 on the card and if he builds on that latest effort he will be tough to stop here. There is a lack of pace on so it wouldn’t surprise me if he pushed forward. He is the least exposed horse in the race so if he improves he should have too much for them. Wise River Ray is also unexposed but was held by the selection last time so has his work cutout to try and reverse that here. May well end up second though. Idiot In Love has the form to be thereabouts but he finished tired last time so has a bit to prove after that.

Race 8 Oaklawn Park 10.40 Palio Flag (13/8)
Likeable filly who has won 2 of her 4 starts and showed a good attitude to prevail by a nose over this trip last time; sure to keep improving and with good pace engaged should get this run to suit as well.
We head to Oaklawn Park on Thursday night for our second best bet Stateside and PALIO FLAG can make it 3 wins from her first 5 starts. She is a filly with considerable potential and this doesn’t look any tougher than that latest contest where she won by a nose. She dug in bravely on that occasion and her gutsy attitude can see her go along way here. Villanelle is chasing a hat-trick and looks the main danger. She impressed last time but this looks tougher. She should give the selection a race. O Seraphina improved to win impressively last time but this is a big step up so it requires a lot more and she was held behind Villanelle prior to that so has it all to do.
Evening Double
The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Oaklawn Park and Golden Gate on Thursday night.
