THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AT 11/4 YESTERDAY! RUNS AT KEMPTON ON WEDNESDAY!
Kempton 6.45 Khatm (5/4)
Likeable sort who looked outpaced before finding his stride and galloping on strongly to win at Southwell last week; good winner at Chelmsford prior to that; goes in search of the hat-trick now and hard to oppose back up to a mile.
It was very much gamble landed for KHATM backers at Southwell last week. He won in the style of a nice horse and with further improvement on the cards he can complete the hat-trick for the red-hot George Boughey. The stable are operating at a 44% strike rate in the past fortnight and can do no wrong right now. The step back up to a mile here will suit and back in handicap company he is hard to get away from under a 5lb penalty. Corrida De Toros was a good second last time and shouldn’t be far away if managing to back that up. Lacks the potential of the favourite though. He’s Our Star is on a long losing run but should also be considered with his yard going well at the moment.

Catterick 3.10 Fire Away (5/4)
Justified strong support on debut for this yard at Musselburgh last month and followed that up under a penalty at Fakenham last time, always doing enough and nicely on top at the line; 13lb higher but not done winning yet.
The hat-trick seeking FIRE AWAY can win again. He has won his last two in good style since switching to this yard and even with a 13lb higher mark I don’t think the handicapper has caught up yet. This is a good bit of placement and this son of Getaway can come out on top again. He is back down to 2 miles and as long as that doesn’t count against him he should have enough to win again. Dandolo Du Gite has unfinished business and could still be capable of better but I just think he’s coming up against a horse at the top of his game in the shape of the selection and will find it tough to beat him. He could run well without being good enough. Smiths Cross also needs to find more.
