Race 7 Saratoga 8.58 War Like Goddess (11/8)

Progressive filly who made it 4 wins from her first 5 starts powering clear to win another Grade 3 at Keeneland when last seen; clearly improving with experience and no surprise to see her pitched into a Grade 2 now; can’t oppose.

I’m looking forward to Saturday night Stateside as there is some really good racing including the Saratoga Derby where Bolshoi Ballet is out again. WAR LIKE GODDESS is a filly going places too and she really catches the eye in the Glen Falls Stakes for trainer William Mott. She is 4 from 5 and couldn’t really have been any more impressive last time. With the promise of more to come I think she’ll take care of this field as talented as it is. My Sister Nat was only beaten 2 lengths at this level behind Mean Mary and Thundering Nights last time and looks the danger on that form. Dalika struck at Grade 3 level last time and also has to enter calculations but will need to find more.

Race 6 Arlington 11.10 Cat Attack (13/8)

Improving filly who brought up the hat-trick over track and trip last month, always finding enough to prevail; going up through the grades and while this is tougher again she has plenty of potential and can come out on top.

I’ve got to side with CAT ATTACK here as she bids to make it four straight. She is progressing all the time and impressed again last time. With further improvement on the cards I think she can prove herself at this level. Katie M’lady has won 2 of her last 3 and is trending the right way. She beat a good yardstick last time and pulled 4 lengths clear so looks the main danger to the favourite. Jolina won on a synthetic surface last time but is yet to prove as effective on turf so has enough to prove against the market principals. Lily’s Woofy has only had 3 starts and was impressive on debut so could have more to come now tried on turf and might be value at a bigger price to hit the frame.
