THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT GULFSTREAM ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 5 Gulfstream 8.03 Khozmore (10/11)

Promising filly who routed the opposition to make a winning debut over 6f here before improving to make it a perfect 2-2 up to this grade over track and trip last time; open to further progress and looks hard to oppose in this field.

I’m expecting KHOZMORE to remain unbeaten at Gulfstream tonight. This filly is looking to make it a perfect 3-3 after really impressing winning both starts to date. She was always moving strongly last time and asserted in good style inside the final furlong. She is learning all the time and with Liza Star likely to put good pace to the race that will give her a nice target to run down late. Corey has won 2 of her last 3 and she had no problem transferring her form to turf last time. Back on dirt here she looks the danger to the favourite. Restofthestory was disappointing switched to turf last time but should run better back on this surface. She is consistent so shouldn’t be too far away at the finish.

Race 8 Laurel Park 9.30 Princess Kokachin (13/8)

Improving filly who has won 2 of her last 3 and clocked a career best winning head in chest over 6f here last month; can step forward again and if she does she should have these all in trouble; looks the most likely winner.

Some good racing Stateside tonight and we head to Laurel Park for our second best bet. PRINCESS KOKACHIN is looking to make it 3 wins from her last 4 starts and won convincingly over 6f here last time. She doesn’t lack speed to this drop back slightly in trip won’t hinder her and she looks a big player. Unrequited Love is probably the pace angle and she may well be the danger so hopefully the selection gets a good toe in before proving the stronger in the run to the line. Combat Queen has been running well at this level and is probably a bit unlucky not to have won more than she has so should get competitive in terms of hitting the frame. Needs more to stop this improving favourite.
