NAP – Best selection of the evening
Leicester 2.45 Watermelon Sugar (11/10)
Good looking sort who looked to know his job on debut just tracking them through up the rail before angling out to come home strongly at Wolverhampton; sure to improve off that initial effort; hard to oppose.
Hard to look past the promising WATERMELON SUGAR at Leicester on Friday. This son of Gutaifan made a perfect start at Wolverhampton and with further progression to come now tackling turf he looks well placed to make it 2-2 for Archie Watson. The second Sir Henry Cotton has won his next two starts to frank the form and the third Dalby Forest was only denied a short head next time out. Even the fourth Silver Dollar has won impressively since so it really stacks up. Rhinoplasty has shown a decent level of form and has experience on side so looks the danger to the favourite. Bungle Bay will find this easier so also has to enter calculations. Lincoln Dream best of the rest.

Southwell 5.05 Drish Hero (11/4)
Ridden too aggressively when finishing down the field on stable debut at Wolverhampton; relished the drop back in trip to make all over this trip last time; 5lb penalty unlikely to stop him if in the same mood.
I know DRISH HERO isn’t the easiest of rides given how freely he races but the drop back to this trip did the trick last time and under positive tactics again he should take all the beating despite a penalty. He was rated as high as 64 in Ireland so he has a bit of wiggle room off his mark. Ivan Furtado remains in great form and this horse looks to have a leading chance in this field. Jakacan also arrives in winning form but hasn’t been seen for a while. He is weighted to go close again but might just find a couple too good. Louis Treize has won 2 of his last 3 and while he isn’t one for maximum faith if he brings his A game then he has to be feared too. Twentysharesofgrey has a similar profile to the latter.
