Promising sort who knew his job on debut taking it up some 2f from home and galloping out strongly through the line; will improve from that initial effort and even with a 7lb penalty looks well placed to make it 2-2.
My NAP was back in the winners enclosure yesterday so hopefully we can follow up on Wednesday. We head to Beverley where the unbeaten DIAMOND RANGER can make it 2-2 for George Boughey. He knew his job on debut like many from this yard and was impressive taking it up a fair way from home before galloping out strongly. He will improve from that I’m sure and even with the penalty I think he remains the one to beat. Dubawi colt Moon Watch is the intriguing one in opposition but he is making his debut here for John and Thady Gosden and will need to be plenty forward enough to peg back this favourite. Space Tracker also made a winning start and is best of the rest.

Hamilton 4.55 Simply Sondheim (5/4)
Looked a work in progress in 3 starts to date and no surprise to see him take a big step forward now stepping up in trip on handicap debut; suspicion is his opening mark could prove lenient so worth chancing.
George Boughey is flying right now so it would be no surprise to see SIMPLY SONDHEIM take a big step forward now handicapping. This son of Pivotal hasn’t shown a huge amount in 3 starts to date but he has likely been brought along with handicaps in mind and his opening mark of just 56 could easily prove lenient here. There is good word around that he could prove a cut above this field so no surprise to see his price contract in the market. Fergie Time has a similar profile to the selection and made a successful start in handicaps at Musselburgh. He looks the danger but needs to prove himself up in trip. Prince Achille should enjoy the extra yardage but still has enough to prove.
