Monday Night Football Bets

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL KICKS-OFF AT 1.15AM (Tuesday UK time)

Game Spread – Bears -5.5 | Game Total – 41.5 points

NFL week 3 comes to a close as Chicago Bears visit the Washington Redskins. Our last two live game previews have won so lets hope we can make it 3 in-a-row.

As usual with the Bears kicking is in the news again. Eddie Pineiro kicked the game winning field goal last week but is on the injury report this week. Matt Nagy thinks he will be play but one to keep an eye on.
Key Stats
  • Under the total in 6 straight – The last 6 Chicago games have gone under the total.
  • 9-4 against the spread – The Bears are have covered the spread in 9 of their last 13 games.
  • 1 win in 9 games – Washington’s recent records is dismal with just 1 win and 8 losses in their last 9 games.

Will the defence do the business again?

The Bears defence is an elite unit and has provided them great opportunities to win both games to start the season. They have given up 14 and 10 (average 12 per game) in the opening two games.

There is no doubt Khalil Mack and the Bears defence will give their side a great chance to win the game on Monday Night Football but the offence will need to take it.

The offensive line gave Trubisky plenty more time to get his throws away in week 2 and with this Redskins only getting 2 sacks so far he won’t be in much trouble on Monday night.

Will the Redskins give up 30+ points again?

As mentioned the defence doesn’t get to the quarterback much its pretty talentless in general giving up on average 31.5 points per game in the opening two weeks of the season hence why they are 0-2 and desperately need a win.

The Bear’s offence probably isn’t going to put up 30 plus as it’s not as explosive as the Eagles and Cowboys but should have plenty enough chance to win.

The Redskins best hope of keeping the game close is by handing it off to veteran running back Adrian Peterson and grind out the yards whilst taking time off the clock.

Monday night football verdict and bet

With two these two defence being polar opposites I can only see the Bears winning this even with an average offence. With both teams with decent run options the under does look a good bet so we will be going with another double like our last two wins.
