NAP – My best tip of the day
Lingfield 12.50 Pocket The Packet (best price 11/10)
Good looking sort who confirmed himself as well handicapped showing a nice turn of foot to win readily over the minimum here last time; carries a penalty but step back up to 6f firmly in his favour and should win again.
With 3 wins from his last 4 it is hard to look past POCKET THE PACKET at Lingfield on Wednesday. He showed a nice change of gear to quickly put it to bed last time and stepping back up a furlong in trip here will only help him further. He carries a 6lb penalty but will be fully expected to come through this test. Oasis Dream colt Diamond Dreamer is obviously unexposed but he hasn’t been pulling down any trees so is going to need to improve if he is to emerge as the main danger. Harry Angel filly Sassy Redhead clocked a career best at Chelmsford last month and a 4lb rise is manageable but you get the feeling she might just come up short against a couple of these. Profitable Dawn best of the rest.

Lingfield 11.20 Ower Starlight (best price 13/8)
Cityscape colt who took his form up a notch to finally get his head in front at Chelmsford; held his form well in defeat twice since going close at Wolverhampton and then missing a short head at Kempton; big shout back up to a mile.
No surprise to see the money come for OWER STARLIGHT at Lingfield today. His recent form figures of 323122 are very consistent and he was only headed in the final stride at Kempton. He is just 1lb higher and looks sure to run another big race. McQueen was only beaten a length on return at Chelmsford and if building on that will be the biggest danger to the favourite. Blue Collar Lad won at Epsom in the summer and was back to form when third here last time so might be best of the rest but enough to find to spring a surprise here. Hellavapace ran well at Kempton but failed to back that up when beaten 5 and a half lengths into fifth at Wolverhampton last time. Waleyfa needs to build on that last run.
